Summer Fun Balanced With Academic Practice We hope all Discovery students have a safe summer filled with fond memories. Summer practice packets will be given to your child on "Moving Up Day," June 20th. If lost, they may be found on this website after June 20th under the 'Parent Links' tab. The completion of the packet(s) is the minimum summer requirement, and is due the first day of school. We encourage the use of IXL, MobyMax, reading for pleasure, writing a summer journal and practicing math facts this summer.

Discovery 6th graders partnered with Altice (aka Optimum) to develop ideas using STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math). The project culminated in the viewing of a Channel 12 Newspiece created at Discovery, and a visit from Senator Ed Gomes. Senator Gomes discussed how education allows you to lead yourself to desirable outcomes by giving yourself opportunities. View the photo gallery to the left and video link beneath.
