  • Hello Cadets, Parents and Guardians!

We are so excited to welcome your child to Bridgeport Military Academy for the 2022-2023 school year. This is a gentle reminder that BMA will be holding its Orientation Bootcamp from August 15th-August 19th. Here are a few details you need to know in order to prepare your child for this week.

    1. Bootcamp takes place at BMA. The address is 160 Iranistan Avenue, Bridgeport, CT, 06606. Bootcamp begins at 8 am and ends at 2 pm each day. There is no transportation for Bootcamp.
    2. During Bootcamp, your child will learn basic drill commands, participate in physical training, get a tour of the school, and meet some of the staff at BMA.
    3. All cadets should wear their BMA gym uniforms. These can be purchased at Blakes Uniform Shop in Stratford. If there is an issue with acquiring the uniform, please make sure your child is dressed in workout clothing. Here is more information regarding uniforms: https://www.bridgeportedu.net/Page/16948
    4. Cadets should bring a refillable water bottle each day. This bottle should be labeled with their name so it does not get lost. They may also bring snacks, however, all students will be fed breakfast and lunch.
    5. While it is not mandatory that cadets adhere to the BMA grooming standards just yet, it is preferred that all cadets are aware of the grooming standards. More information will be shared at Bootcamp and is also here on our website: https://www.bridgeportedu.net/Page/16947
    6. During Bootcamp, your child will be measured for your Naval Science formal uniform. If possible, please measure your child for their pants size in inches. There will be a tailor on-site in order to assist students with sizing.
    7. Parents will be able to take a tour of the school building on the fourth day of Bootcamp (Thursday). More information will be given to your child at Bootcamp.

Most importantly, this is a time for your child to meet their fellow classmates and begin their high school journey at Bridgeport Military Academy. We look forward to meeting all our new cadets!
