    • Big Future Scholarships Award:$40,000-24 Awards Nationally. This award is open to seniors in high school who will be attending college in the fall.     • Coca-Cola Scholars Program Awards: $20,000 This national scholars program is open to all seniors who exemplify academic excellence and community service. The minimum GPA is 3.0.     • Concerto High School Musicians Scholarship Award:$2500. Deadline to submit all material November 15. This competition is open to students in grades 9-12.     • Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarship Program Award: $220,000- 40 awards nationally. This scholarship is open to a graduating senior with financial need and has a GPA of 3.5 or higher.     • Voice of Democracy Scholarship Award: $30,000- 50 Awards. This scholarship is open to students in grades 9-12.     AnnouncingThe Connecticut Bar Foundation 23rd AnnualQuintin Johnstone Statewide High School Essay Contest Presented by the James W. Cooper Fellows 

    2022-2023 Topic: Out with the Books The contest is open to all Connecticut students under the age of 21 who are enrolled in grades 9-12, or their equivalent, at an accredited high school, vocational-technical school, or adult high school credit diploma program located within the State of Connecticut.  The contest is also open to all Connecticut homeschooled students in grades equivalent to 9-12. 

    • Grand Prize - $2,000
    • Two Runner-Up Prizes - $1,000 each

    Essays will be judged by federal and state court judges, law professors, and attorneys.  An awards ceremony will be held at the Connecticut Supreme Court in Spring 2023. Deadline for submission: February 22, 2023Entries must be submitted through the auspices of the Connecticut school the student attends, with the exception of homeschooled students.  Each teacher shall select no more than three entries per class.  Teachers of any subject may submit entries.  There is no limit on the number of teachers who may submit entries from a single school.  School counselors may submit no more than three entries per semester.  There is no limit on the number of school counselors who may submit entries from a single school. For more information, and to access contest materials and submit an entry, please visit our website by clicking the button below.

    UCONN Scholarships

     

    UCONN Day of Pride This scholarship is open to graduating seniors who have financial need, demonstrated leadership and a commitment to diversity and multiculturalism. The deadline for this scholarship is October 25th and the supplement must be submitted by November 1. In order to complete this application eligible students must submit their college application to UCONN by October 25. Eligibility requirements include: US citizen, financial need, top 15% of the class, GPA of 3.6 or higher, SAT scores 1170 or greater.     UCONN Nutmeg Scholarship This scholarship is open to a graduating senior who demonstrates exceptional academic ability, leadership and strong demonstrated commitment to community service. The deadline for this scholarship is October 25th and the supplement must be submitted by November 1. In order to complete this application eligible students must submit their college application to UCONN by October 25. Eligible students are in the top 10% of their class and have a minimum GPA of 3.7 or higher. Submission of standardized test scores is optional and is not required for Nutmeg Scholarship eligibility. First-year applicants may choose whether or not to submit results from standardized tests through the fall 2026 admission cycle. No admission decision shall be impacted, and no student disadvantaged, if a standardized test score is not provided. Applicants choosing to provide a standardized test score should achieve a minimum combined SAT Score of 1370 or an ACT composite score of 30.
