English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESL)
This department offers ESL classes to students whose primary language is not English. Courses range from introductory to advanced levels and are designed to improve reading, writing, listening, speaking, and life skills. The use of technology is an integral part of our program. Students are given a placement test to determine ability level.
- Integrates Life Skills and Basic Skills.
- Listening, writing, speaking and reading skills are taught.
- Weekly interactive computer instruction.
English as a Second Language classes are offered during the day at the Adult Learning Center and at night at Central High School.
