Dr. Deborah Santacapita has over 25 years in education. She began as an elementary teacher and taught third, fourth, and sixth grade. She then became a literacy coach. She went back to school to earn her Master of Teaching and administrator certification at Sacred Heart University. She became an administrator 15 years ago and served as the Director of Evaluation & Research, Director of Data Management, Accountability, Assessment, & Instructional Support, Principal of Hallen School and Luis Munoz Marin School, Assistant Superintendent, and presently is the Principal of Hall School. Dr. Santacapita received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Fine Arts from UCONN and has always loved the arts. She graduated from New York Academy of Theatrical Arts in NYC prior to entering the educational arena. Dr. Santacapita earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership at University of Bridgeport and Superintendent Certification from UCONN. She is extremely excited to be the principal at Hall School because it is a Turnaround Arts School. She has always believed in teaching to incorporate all the arts and unique talents that each student possesses.
