I am a high-energy educator that is passionate about supporting students to develop to their fullest potential through culturally responsive strategies that support the academic and social emotional needs of the whole child.  I believe that, through building partnerships with teachers, students, and families, we can achieve positive student outcomes together! I am very excited and honored to join the Paul Lawrence Dunbar School family as the Interim Principal .

As the Interim Principal, I will bring both my 22 years of experience as a licensed clinical social worker and 17 years as an educator.  During the past 17 years with the BPS, I have worked within schools to develop strategies to promote increased student social emotional functioning and academic success. I have spent the past two years as the Assistant Principal at Luis Munoz Marin School.   I am a certified trainer in the following areas: Boys Town Specialized Classroom Management, Screening and Brief Intervention and Treatment (SBIRT), International Institute for Restorative Practices, and Youth Mental Health First Aide. My educational background includes: Bachelor's in Psychology, Manhattanville College;  Master's in Social work, Fordham University; and currently a Liberty University Doctoral Candidate focusing on Community Counseling with a concentration on trauma.
