As the school psychologist at Madison school, there are many roles and responsibilities I have, all with the goal of supporting student academic and social/emotional growth. Much of my time is spent conducting psychologocal assessments on students who may have a disability that is impeding on their performance in school. As the Planning and Placement Team Coordinator, I also schedule meetings with the team and parents to discuss children in special education. I run groups focusing on self-esteem, friendship, and social skills, and I sometimes see children individually when they need it. The social worker and myself also co-run whole-class meetings in certain classrooms. I am also a member of the Student Assistance Team, and we work together to develop solutions for problems students may be having. If you have any questions, concerns, or need assistance, please feel free to contact me.
