Welcome to Bridgeport Public Schools Bilingual, ESL &World Language DepartmentI am honored to represent the Bridgeport Public Schools as the Director of the Bilingual, ESL and World Languages Department. We are a diverse school district with over 4200 English Language Learners. We strive to meet the academic, linguistic, social and emotional needs of all of our students. As a result, we offer a variety of Bilingual Education services and World Language courses.
Our services include a Transitional Bilingual program, ESL classes, Dual Language programs, Native Language Tutoring and Immigrant After-School Tutoring. The World Languages offered are Spanish, Portuguese, French, and Mandarin Chinese.
Our goal is to cultivate bilingual. bi-literate and bi-cultural students so that they are career and college-ready.
We are a collaborative group of educators working to continually improve our craft.
