Ms. Brenda Fernandez
Welcome to the new school year!
My name is Brenda Fernandes, and I teach 9th grade World History. I grew up here in Bridgeport and attended Bridgeport Public Schools all my life. I went to Columbus School, Blackham School, and graduated from Central Magnet High School. I recently graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in History and a minor in Psychology.
This is my first year teaching here at Bassick! I student taught at Harding High School, so I’ve been all over Bridgeport. I’m excited to work in the district that raised me!
