Bridgeport Public Schools uses a computerized reading program called Lexia that provides students with the opportunity to practice basic reading skills independently. The program is adaptive and helps students develop skills in the five areas of reading instruction: Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Fluency, Vocabulary, and Comprehension. Lexia® PowerUp Literacy® is an adaptive program used by students in grades 7 and 8 to focus on critical thinking skills, vocabulary, and reading comprehension.
To access Lexia programs at home, students will log in to their Clever Dashboard the same way they log in at school. They will have access to one of the following versions of Lexia depending on their grade level: Lexia® Core5® Reading or Lexia® PowerUp Literacy®. Please see the links below for step-by-step instructions on how to access these programs.
